How to upload DVDs to iPad2?

I have a laptop PC running Windows 7 and I have an iPad2. I'm not very technical so I'd like to know:

1) how to upload my DVDs on to my laptop? 2) how do I transfer the digital file from my laptop to my iPad?

What does the DVD contain

If it is a Movie then you will need to rip it to an appropriate file format, put it in iTunes then it will download to the iPad.

Handbrake Click Here is an excellent program for ripping from the DVD.

I think you can upload you dvds to PC.Then you need a free video converter to help you convert dvds to video format for your iPad. Finnaly, you can connect your ipad to PC for getting the videos. You can play it everywhere.
