Record and play DVD Discs on a Bluray recorder?

I am looking to buy a Bluray disc recorder, but want to be able to still record onto DVD. Will a Bluray recorder allow me to do this please?

A blu-ray recorder will allow you to record to DVD's. If you look at the specifications it will usually tell you the speed it will read and write to the disk.
