MP3 player or IPod Touch or Clasic?

Hello I am looking to upgrade from a multi disk CD player because I am fed up of CD's and prefer them all to be in one place for access on maybe a Hi-fi with a Apple Ipod Dock.

Have been considering the Apple Ipod Touch 64GB 4th generation but the messenger service wouldn't be something I would use. I have a Samsung Galaxy Android.

Need advice on ideas or suggestions for downloading my CD's (about 800) to a single device so as not to have to keep swapping CD's over. I don't listen to music all day but have music on when I am working which is at home.

Do I need maybe a straight Ipod or Ipod touch, maybe a Creative Device. Money not much of a problem.
