sharp LC-32SB23U firmware update failure

WE bought a sharp lcd 32 inch tv had some issues with it so sharp customer service told me to download the firmwate update and install per instructions. I did just like the instructions said no i get a green led and no picture and no sound and no help from sharp.can any one lead me to how to fix it.

I would just take it back and ask for replacement or refund.
