Samsung DVD R 119 not recording

Since going digital the tv has been retuned successfully ,the DVD retuned but it still will not record. All was fine before the changeover , could it be the dvd cannot be retuned?

Hi Woolwell The signal is coming from a new digital aerial into the back of dvd then connected to tv. Could this dvd be an analogue only?

I suspect that the recorder cannot decode the digital signal. Does the TV have Freeview built in or do you use a set top box?

I think that your problem is that the Samsung does not have a Freeview decoder. A Freeview box linked to it may solve the problem.
