Humax HDR-FOX T2 no volume control on HD channels

On my new Humax HDR-FOX T2 the volume control doesn't work on HD channels. The OSD slider moves, but no change to the sound. Is there a fix for this, please?

I suspect this is a Dolby problem, but I would welcome advice.

Advice received on another forum 'In Menu/Settings/Preferences/Audio Change Digital Audio Out to Stereo', credits grahamlthompson.
