I have a sky box working fine with a Technika tv and a newly acquired Panasonic SC-XH50 home cinema plays dvds fine, but I can't introduce the sky box so that I can experience tv through the cinema system. If anyone can help I'd be very grateful. john

Connect a Toslink Cable (Optical) from the Skybox to the Digital Optical In on the rear of the Panasonic. Page 7 of the Manual.

Very many thanks for your time. Unfortunately the Panasonic doesn't have provision to accept a Toslink cable. It only has sockets for scart, hdmi and the pair of red & white aux. john

Just had a look at the manual here
Can this unit be a "true" home cinema set up without Optical or digital COAX inputs?
The red/white connections are only analogue so unless the HDMI carrries the 5.1 signal this can surely only be 'pro logic' surround.
