AAC or MP3 format

Hi

I want to put my music on my Iphone, I was wondering which is the best format AAC or MP3 and at what rate. I currently have it on the Iphone as MP3 128kbs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you want it for an iPhone then aac is by far the better choice, higher quality and smaller file size for the same kbs.

I use 128kbs as this to me is a good compromise over size and quality.

AAC for your iPhone. iTunes optimises to this format anyway so just sync your tunes across
