Cable quality firewire camcorder to PC

Maybe a silly question but I have read that you need to get a good quality cable to connect camcorder to pc (4pin to 6pin),or would any cable from ebay for example be OK , (if you need a good quality cable how do you find one?).

In my experience any cable will do

Due to the nature of digital signals, quality of cable is not an important factor - the cable transmits a series of on/off pulses which, even if they do suffer from minor interference, can easily be decoded back into a series of 1s and 0s.
