I have just bought a TV which has internet access via LAN. I have a spare wireless router (without internal modem)and wondered whether I can set this up as a wireless repeater from my normal wireless broadband router to serve the TV.
If this is possible, I would be grateful if anyone could tell me how to set this up or point me to a link. Thanks.

Not unless your spare router can be configured as a Wireless Bridge.

Use HomePlugs and forget the wireless connection. You'll need a pair and 85 mbps types will be OK click here
