Hi all,
First of all a very Happy New Year to you all..
I hope that I have the right forum, if not then can it be moved to the more apporopiate one. I have been given a Samsung netbook, (not sure of the make).
It seems like it is in good condition apart from the fact that the screen is all green and blurry so I dont know what o/s it has on it or general specs (I suspect though that its XP).
My thinking is that the connecting lead from motherboard to screen has either got detached or broken. Can anyone tell me how to take a netbook screen off, is it something easily done/ If not how much do you reckon that a shop would charge for it to be done.

If you search through Youtube you will find several demos on how to dismantle a laptop/netbook. Having the correct model will help.
If your Netbook has a D sub connector you could connect the Netbook to a TV to see if it is working, you may need to press the fn key and one of the F key to switch it to the TV.
