What is the best system for home

Hi, i would like to have a custom built system for home use, i want to store and watch all my Blu-ray and DVD's, music collection, surf the net and play high quality games. I was thinking of using a high powered pc as a server.

My budget is quite generous £5000 and i want it to be as future proof as possible. the plan is to network the whole home so everyone has access and be able to watch what they want at anyone time.

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
