Downloading films from the internet

Hi Folks
Is a 'legal' way of downloading films from the internet to watch?
If so, is it possible to connect your PC to your TV to watch them? If so, can someone kindly explain how I connect it up?
Thanks in advance for your response.

Just google for Movies downloads. As for playing via computer to TV then your TV must have the right connection.

Hi Folks
Can anybody advice me how I can connect my laptop (Acer Aspire 7720G) to my wide screen Sony Bravia TV?
The reason being that with the Xmas holidays coming up, I want to download films for my kids on my lap top, so that they can watch it on the TV.
Thanks in advance for your response.

You will have to check what connections your TV has for connecting a PC and also check your laptop what output connections it has. Have a look at the manuals supplied by both.
As for films have a look at blinkbox. Be aware that the films only play via Windows Media Player and are non transferable from what I've read. click here
Another site to check is Lovefilm; click here
