Could anyone recommend a basic Freeview box please.
Under £100 would be good.

If you are prepared to pay up to that price, then the Humax F2FOX-T is still the benchmark for standalone Freeview STBs. Here's a review:

However, if you go to Humax's own shop you can actually acquire a twin tuner Freeview+ PVR for £89 (fully guaranteed with on-site warranty) at:

That's not much more than the F2FOX-T on its own and allows recording a programme whilst you are watching another one...:-)
