scrolling of pages going haywire

Whilst scrolling down any page I get an overlapping wave effect whilst using the mouse or keyboard. One clue might be that I deleted some old computer programmes and files the previous session though I cannot think of anything that would cause the above fault. Another odd thing was I had to reset my pixels. Any ideas folks.

Thanks , I am trying , with great difficulty at the moment, to check my graphics driver. At present I cannot access any buttons which will update the drivers. I have tried so called "free" driver update web-sites ....I will come back and report my findings again.

In the past, such a problem was frequently caused by a shortage of RAM.

These days PCs have much more RAM available, but might not if something else was using it

If you cannot access any buttons to check driver status it seems you have more wrong with pc than just the display being on basic driver.

You should have been able to look in Device Manager to check the driver.

Can you tell us why/what the problem is with not being able to access buttons.

Don't bother with any Driver update programs. All that is needed is to find out which graphic card you have and then go to the manufacturers website to download the correct driver.

Please tell us the make and model of your pc and which graphic card you have and what op sys (XP, Vista, W7?) you are using.

While you are at it, check the cables at back of your pc (or is it a laptop) and check the cables at back of monitor to make sure they have not worked loose.
