'I HAVE A DELL INSPIRON LAPTOP CONNECTED TO SKY BROADBAND WITH A ROUTER. IN ADDITION I'M BUYING AN ACER ASPIRE E1.HOW DOES THIS GET SET UP AND CONNECTED TO INTERNET? THANKS.'

The question is, does the router have WiFi? The Acer Aspire E1 does.
If router lacks WiFi you could get one that has it.

For WiFi: Look on the back of your Router. It will tell you the Wireless Network Name (that is what you look for and click on to connect to) and the Wireless Password is also on the back of the Router.
Or you can connect directly with an ethernet cable (no setting up needed - just plug it in)
The Router is already connected to the Internet, so all you need to do is connect your laptops/pcs to the Router.

lotvic , never understood the likes of Sky and BT having the WPA2 key stuck on the router. Not very secure I think. First thing I'd do is change it. :)

rdave13, yes suppose so. If propinquity has changed it he/she will know so don't foresee a prob with that part.
