'My Computer' not showing proper GBs

Hi, I received a humungus amount of help in answer to my HDD query. I now ask for help with the following. I have added the 500GB External HDD, and copied a few files, but when I open 'My Computer', under the 'G' drive (my Ext HDD), it states 55.5 GB free of 55.7GB. ???? AD

Hi again lotvic, You are correct, I meant GB not MB. The box for the 'G' drive was empty as the small space taken up by the files I t/ferred are minuscule on a 500 GB drive. However, and you Computer experts will probably tear your hair out at my stupidity, I went back into Disk Manager and clicked on 'Expand Volume'. I clicked on the 'G' Drive, and after a 'green ribbon' came up, the volume of the Drive corrected itself. Don't ask me what I did, but I was prepared to do a complete re-install, so I said What the hell. Thanks everyone for your help.
