What is the best e readers

I want to buy my wife a good colour ebook reader,preferably in HD mode. Which is the best at reasonable price, would it be Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook,nexus 7 or other?

I think the Nexus is a tablet, not an e-reader, though you can install e-reader software on it.

I would personally go for a tablet, as they can all cope with e-reader software.

Got kindle fire hd , good ereader and tablet at good price
