date and time changes

just recently the date and time on my vaio fe31m laptop resets it's time to 0.00am and the date to 2005 what can I do about it

Go to control panel , select date and time and reset . You MUST do this , otherwise windows update will not work .

Yep needs a new CMOS battery, it may be inside Ram Bay in bottom of laptop
