hi guys,I installed and run office home and student 2010 on my wondow vista computer,But all the suddent it will not let me use it again "" HELP "" Every time I want access words on my computer,I click Microsoft words 2010 icon it opens window installer which say preparing to install,After while trying to install A newmessage apears in box with red circle with white cross in it PROBLEM WITH SHORTCUT,Its reads> this update package could not be opened verify that the update package exists and that you can access it or contact the application vender to virify that this is a valid window installer update package,

You don't have a valid program. Uninstall it and buy your own copy.

Sounds like you are trying to run an update version when no previous version exists to update from. Did you buy the software and if so what does it say on the box as to what version it is ?

If you are clicking the desktop icon, have you tried going to Start>All Programs>Microsoft Office and clicking on the Word Icon there. It sounds to me as if you are clicking on the original setup icon rather than the installed version icon.

Have you tried Updating your OS system under Start Program list? as it should if you have MS office, update that at the same time
