the best devices to record tv to usb

l wish to know which is the best device to record tv programes via usb socket the one i,m using is a flash drive but for some reason if i set the timer for a 2hour programe it only record for 20 mins ?

May I suggest you read the manual that came with the TV. It should give you the details of what to use. As they all differ it is very hard to give you anymore specific advice from the details you have provided.

It clould be that after 20 minutes the flash drive is Full and so no more recording can take place.

Think of a pint pot, you cannot get more than 1 pint in it.

Why cannot you record direct to the hard drive using a PCTV card, available quite cheaply on Ebay.

Please tell us what devices you are using, and which device has the usb socket that you plug the flash drive into.
