Advice on replacement power supplies

Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade my Graphics card from the pre-installed integrated one, but since my power supply is the bog-standard one (300W max) that came installed in the PC, I'm concerned that it won't have the sufficient power capabilities to run the standard of Graphics card I'm looking to buy.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest a reasonably priced 450-550W power supply with enough (and the correct) connectors to power one optical drive, one hard drive, the motherboard and a PNY GT 440 1GB or similar Graphics card.
Whilst I believe I am capable of doing the changes myself and I'm prepared to give it a go, I am new to all this and not especially bright, so please try to keep any answers as simple as possible! :)
Many thanks!

Though your GPU will run with your current power supply,I would suggest upgrading to at least 500W to cover any future upgrades you may make. As I am not sure what you mean by reasonable price I have tried to suggest ones that I might purchase if I was working to a strict budget.
Yes a couple are 450W but they will still be a decent upgrade.
There is nothing particularly difficult changing a power supply, just make sure that as you remove the old PSU's cables you take a note of what they are and where they go. When I first started out I photo'ed each cable as I removed it from the motherboard and also where it went. Just take your time and you will be fine.
