Identifying DVDrw drive types

I am thinking of replacing my existing DVDrw drive as it seems unreliable, but do not know whether it is a SATA or PATA/IDE type. Windows device manager identifies it as an Optiarc DVD RW AD-7201s5 SCSI CdR. This basic drive is available in both types but does the SCSI designation indicate that mine is the SATA model? If not, how can I determine the type, please?

No that way doesn't work either, but I did find a way of showing you how to identify a drive from Google.

Re the reply from Lazarus The 2nd. Thank you for your reply but unfortunately it does not answer my problem. I had already found these 2 sites but the first site actually says that the drive is available in both SATA or PATA versions(Serial or Parallel ATA). The download offered from the 2nd site is specifically for the SATA version but is not compatible with my system spec.

Then look at Models and Interface

Models

AD-7200A

AD-7201A (with LightScribe)

AD-7203A (with Labelflash™)

Interface Parallel ATA (E-IDE/ATAPI)

Models

AD-7200S

AD-7201S (with LightScribe)

AD-7203S (with Labelflash™)

Interface Serial ATA (S-ATA)

So A = Parallel ATA (E-IDE/ATAPI)

and S = Serial ATA (S-ATA).
