My little grand-daughter, six, going on 20, is keen to start taking photographs. We bought one of those "kiddies' cameras" but neither it nor its replacement operated. Even the store just gave us a refund, saying it was really junk!
So can anyone recommend a good basic camera, easily operated and with not too many fiddly bits, but which will produce reasonable results?

Argos have some Vivitar cameras for £24.99. Fairly basic but probably OK for a 6 year old to start with. Well known make and at 10 megapixel should give good results.

Thanks BT. This seems ideal! I'll have a look at it in our local Argos.
Appreciate your help!
