Been given a redundant Samsung N150 plus Netbook .. with a formatted hard drive....no recovery discs available..no nothing available..etc etc . Rather than throw it in the bin..i have downloaded Ubuntu onto a disc..now i ask the question..would it install on netbook..and is it worth it ??
Any advice welcome

Yes, it installs and runs fine - there are even specific versions of some Linux distros designed for netbooks.
You can probably re-install Windows, of whatever variety. The COA sticker is usually hidden... on most models, the whole bottom panel unclips, and it's hidden away in there! If you find it, it's easy (and legal) to download the correct Windows, and reinstall it.
