Buying a laptop and docking station.

Hi all

A friend has asked my advice about buying a new laptop and docking station.

I can certainly point them in the direction of a laptop that meets their requiremnts at a good price but I have to admit I know very little about docking stations.

The reason they are after the laptop/docking station is that they want the convenience of still being able to use a normal keyboard and bigger screen but can also lift it and use on their lap when watching telly.

A current i3 with 15-16"ish inch screen will do them fine. (its just to be used for general laptoppy duties).

The other option I though about is a 17"ish laptop which would perhaps be a good compromise but not sure if the size might put them off (although one of them has dodgy eyes so the extra size might be of benefit).

Cheers for any advice!
