Buying a laptop and docking station.

Hi all

A friend has asked my advice about buying a new laptop and docking station.

I can certainly point them in the direction of a laptop that meets their requiremnts at a good price but I have to admit I know very little about docking stations.

The reason they are after the laptop/docking station is that they want the convenience of still being able to use a normal keyboard and bigger screen but can also lift it and use on their lap when watching telly.

A current i3 with 15-16"ish inch screen will do them fine. (its just to be used for general laptoppy duties).

The other option I though about is a 17"ish laptop which would perhaps be a good compromise but not sure if the size might put them off (although one of them has dodgy eyes so the extra size might be of benefit).
