Hi, I want to connect my PC Desktop to my TV via a HDMI cable.The question is which HDMI cable do I use, I do not understand all the specification.

If all you need is about 1 metre, then go the Poundshop route, If you need longer then Tesco do some cheap ones, just don't get sucked into the hype of paying £20 - £40 for cables which will do the same job albeit at a Premium price!

You do not need gold plated ones. as above just a cheep one will do

You might find that the picture on your TV is too big and spills over the edges a bit. This is due to a feature on the TV called OverScan. Most graphics card provide a facility to adjust the signal to compensate for this.
