PS Elements upgrade or new Lightroom?

I have elements 8 and am thinking of upgrading to 12. I have looked at the review of Lightroom and wonder whether to go for this instead. I only use Elements for editing not organising, which is the best option? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Do you shoot in Raw? if not forget Lightroom, although it's an excellent organizer the real benefits are for people using the Raw format. Ideally you would use both Elements & Lightroom, but as I said only if you shoot in the Raw format

Thanks for the advice, I don't use RAW at the moment so I have decided to order the Elements upgrade, thanks.

That makes sense, if you ever go the "Raw" route, that's the time to consider Lightroom

Don't the latest editions of PS Elements support RAW anyway?
