Yes, for reasons better known to myself I'm reviewing my passwords and came upon one for 192.com. OK, so logged in and fine - can get to "Your Account" and yes, I'm presented with my old email address and a blue link to change it.
Click the link and there are a couple of boxes to fill in - password and new email address. However, (according to the following steps copied and pasted from a side panel), the confirmation email will go to my old email address which has probably not existed for 10 or more years.
Changing your email address?
Step 1: Enter in your password and your NEW email address and submit the changes
Step 2: You will receive an email at your OLD email address
Step 3: Open the email we've sent to your OLD email address and copy and paste the confirmation code we've supplied
Step 4: Return to this page and re-enter your NEW email address and add the confirmation code from the email
Step 5: Submit the details and your NEW email address will be activated
Can this be right? It's the first time I've experienced emails going to old email addresses for confirmation. My fault - DOH !
So it looks like I need to register for a new account - that's if I really want one. Ha ha - I think I'll just leave it as it is.

I suspect they do this to stop hijackers - or at least to let you know that someone is trying to change your account details. It gives you the chance to react if it isn't you.
