hi all, i am looking to treat the missis to a new tablet to replace her acer one 1gb netbook which is struggling! all it needs to do is be good for websurfing and smooth streaming of the iplayer. i have read good things about nexus 10 and acer transformer??? budget is about £300 but would rather spend less if it will do the job. cheers,

Both those you mention exceed your budget I think. The Nexus 7 is within budget, as are one or two Samsung 7" tablets (and the Kindle Fire HD I think).
For the Nexus to do iplayer you need an app recently released by the beeb (there is another workaround but it's more complex, and the BBC app is free). Not sure about the others I'm afraid.

The Asus Transformer is good. The TF101 is less than £300. Re streaming it depends on the signal strength you cann wet for the area.
