Looking for an economic laser printer. Possibly.

I have an HP Color Laser Jet CP2025. It occasionally needs maintenance and when I also factor in the costs of purchasing new toner, I wonder whether I should just purchase a new printer.

This specific model of printer uses four ink cartridges. I've also provided a link so you can see the cost of purchasing new toner.

These include 1. CC531A Color Cartridge (http://www.amazon.com/HP-CC531A-Color-LaserJet-Cartridge/dp/B001DXMGC8) 2. NT C0530 Black Ink Cartridge (http://www.amazon.com/Compatible-Canon-NT-CC118BK-CC530A-C0530FGK/dp/B005SNI01A/ref=sr11?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1351640945&sr=1-1&keywords=NT+C0530) 3. NT-c0533 (http://www.amazon.com/Compatible-NT-CC118M-CC533A-NT-C0533FGM-Magenta/dp/B005SNI0QA/ref=sr12?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1351640983&sr=1-2&keywords=NT-c0533) 4. NT-C0532 Y (http://www.amazon.com/Compatible-Yellow-NT-CC118Y-CC532A-NT-C0532FGY/dp/B00870LYYQ/ref=sr11?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1351641022&sr=1-1&keywords=NT-C0532+Y)

I would really appreciate some help in this regard, should I purchase a new laser printer or is the cost of toner a relative non factor when comparing the HP Laser Jet CP2025 with newer models?

I think that you are confusing the cost of the Cartridge with the cost of printing each page.

A cartridge that prints 6000 pages is going to cost more than a cartridge that prints 600 pages but maybe not 10x's, also consider that, by using a Laser Printer, you are not wasting a considerable quantity of Toner for cleaning the Heads every time you turn the machine on.
