Advice buying a 'lightweight' 15" laptop please!

Hi,
I'm struggling to choose a new laptop. I'm a writer and only need my latop for fairly basic functions - but I do move around a lot and so also need it to be portable (ie. as lightweight as possible).
I'd rather not go for an ultrabook if I can avoid it. They're amazingly light but I's prefer to work on a 15" screen if I can.
So, what do you think are my best options for a truly portable 15" screen? And I keep hearing that the 15" versions of the ultrabooks are going to be released this year - is that still happening and when?
Thanks!

Hi Nelks,
What's your price range? I've just put your spec into Seeksolve.com and it's coming up with a few good options: The Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 has a 15.6" screen, and weighs 5.95lb. Total cost = $899.
If you wanted something cheaper, there's the Dell Vostro 1540 which is quite basic and only costs $459?
