Your opinions of BT Vision please.

Does anyone have experience of using BT Vision on a broadband connection running at around 2>2.5Mbps? If so, what is your experience of the quality of service provided?

No experience but I think it might struggle with streaming video at that bandwidth.

Live (freeview) TV would depend on signal strength in your area so if you get a good TV signal the it will be OK but if your in a bad reception area it will be rubbish!
