Are oldies the best.

Has anyone noticed that, if you select "By rating" to look at the reviews, for laptops, or PCs, on the site, virtually none of the current "crop" achieve the highest ratings. Almost all of the highest rated items are several years old.
I wonder if this says more about current quality, or increasingly strict reviewing.

Perhaps the increased expectations of potential consumers, who are now more 'techno-savvy, have/has 'raised the bar', the older models, having been reviewed a while back. Newer models, doesn't equate to better, in my opinion.

You can only use the ratings to compare like with like. They are subjective after all.
