Xoom 2 Media Edition - Can I get a refund/exchange?

On December 30th (21 days ago), I bought a new Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition tablet from Carphone Warehouse (In store) for £329.
I like the product however it has recently started 'locking up'/'jamming'/'sticking' on a screen and won't allow me to even force a shut down. I simply have to leave it for a few minutes until it comes back on.
The error occurs at random(in the traditional sense) times and isn't specific to one type of application or use.
I still have my receipt but what are my options?
Can I get a full refund? Can I exchange for a different tablet (of same value)? Can I exchange for a new version of the same device?
What I really want to avoid is: being stuck with the same tablet that could get progressively worse or having them 'tamper' with the device and giving me it back (rendering it reconditioned maybe).
Any advise on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Legally yes, you can return the device for refund or exchange as you are well within a reasonable DOA period.
Good luck getting a Carphone Warehouse staff member to believe this...
