is it legal to download music from youtube?

is it legal to use sites like youtube-to-mp3player.com to download music to listen to on the go and where does youtube stand on this?

Yes, it is illegal, but YouTube can't act upon it as most of those programs just act as a viewer, except it saves the audio from the video. Torrents are more of a concern than YouTube, the most that can happen is the video being blocked for containing copyrighted material
