How can i take of an Update that i put on my printer, since putting it on it will not accept compatable catridges

What make and model? What update?

It is possible that the update has been written to specifically stop you using "compstibles"

You could reinstall the original printer driver or try a roll-back for the driver or even a system restore to an earlier point
