Desktop replacement ideas

I'd like to replace my desktop PC with a laptop.

I have a budget of up to about £500 and would like something fairly quick and reliable, and also a compatible docking station / port replicator.

I'll be buying an external hard drive to put my data on, and regularly transporting the laptop between 2 locations. I don't need and O/S as I have retail Windows 7.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Probably your best bet would be to look at the laptop reviews in this magazine, or others in your price range, and take it from there.
