AVG Free 2011 update available

This large update takes it to version 10.0.1375 with virus database of 1500/1325 after install today. TC.

Thanks TopCat mine never updates manually just tried it so will just have to wait for the normal update.I am Still on version 1024 at the moment.

Hi once again.

I am using the Paid for version of AVG and although it shows this new update it will not download it.

It has updated itself a few times since I last tried but can only conclude it is for the free version only.

I though that maybe it would cover all AVG programs but looks like what you say it is only for the free version.

Hi buteman - it appears that the updates for AVG free and 'paid for' versions are not compatible. Their notice gives details as follows: "Important notice for AVG Free Users. The listed program updates should not be used for the AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. AVG Free users can perform the update directly from within the program, or download updates from AVG Free Advisor website...."
