Which notebook should I choose?

I think this is the correct forum to post this question - I'm very sorry if it is not. I would appreciate some help with the following matter.
I'm planning on buying an Acer laptop, but I just can't decide which model to go for. I'm heading to university soon, so ideally I want it to be light and portable. On the other hand I know how much time an essay takes, so I don't want it to be so small that it's hard to work with.
I'm a very basic user, meaning that I use firefox, office, photoshop every now and then, and a media player to watch movies. That's pretty much it; I'm not a gamer and probably won't become one soon either.
After doing some research, I narrowed it down to these three types:
- Acer Aspire 5755G-2678G75MN
- Acer Aspire 4755G-2434G50MN
- Acer Aspire 4755G-2334G50Mngs
While I think the first one is the 'best' notebook, I'm not sure if I would really use it to its full potential. I'm a multitasker, but like I said I don't use very heavy programs and I never game. The other two are cheaper, but I'd much rather spend some more if I knew for sure that I would be buying a better laptop (for me).
All help would be appreciated enormously; I hardly know anything about computers, and I've searched far and wide for decent reviews but can't find any. Thank you very much in advance!
