I have just moved into university accommodation and we have been provided with what i think is a Cat6 socket. I can currently use it to connect to the internet on my PC, but I want to be able to have Wifi in order to connect mobile devices without an ethernet port. Is there a way of doing this?

You'd have to use a WiFi access point, such as this example.
