You cannot use a USB modem with a router. If you have ADSL broadband via the phone line, you need to replace the USB modem with a combined Router & ADSL Modem which has a WAN port that connects to the phone line.
The router you have is a "Cable/DSL Router", suitable for use with Cable broadband, such as Virginmedia Cable, where they supply the Cable Modem with an RJ45 ethernet port to connect to a separate router.
