Devolo Powerline plugs

I have a number of Devolo 500 Mbit/s Dlan plugs serving PCs around the house. Can anyone explain why with 2 virtually identical PCs next to each other served by the same 3 port Dlan plug one PC connects no problem but the other often fails to connect without a restart

It is a useful product but unfortunately this is a persistent problem and I cannot get an answer so far from Devolo

I would have thought the problem was with the PC rather than the Devolo plug:

a) Does it work reliably if it is the only computer pluged in to the Devolo?

b) Does it work reliably if it is plugged directly into one of the router's LAN ports?

Can't try the direct router link option as too much reorg is involved in room to room moves But it is still a problem when it is the only PC connected to the 3 way plug

Although I have checked already out Network Connections I will have another look mt the PC set up

I have a 3rd PC connected into another Devolo and it exhibits the same problem. Thanks anyway
