using a second router in spare bedroom

I am using a router attached to my PC but can I use a second router in the spare room where I have a BT socket.Hopefully this would give me a better signal.

Sorry I forgot to say that I was talking about a Wi-Fi signal

You cannot connect two routers to one phone line. What you can do is use a wireless repeater or homeplugs to improve the signal in other areas of the house. If you Google those terms if you're unfamiliar with them, you'll see how they can help.
