Max number of connections to a wireless router

I have a BT Home Hub 3 and quite often get messages "cannot connect to network". I have many (>20) devices connected. Have I reached the limit? With four kids in the house the pressure to connect even more devices is growing. What's the solution?

Perhaps you will have better luck asking here ?

On this page if you scroll down about one third of the way it shows DHCP Server settings if there is a limit set it will be here, this example would seem to be limited to 9 connections, but it does appear that adjustment can be made
They do have a forum to ask questions
