Problem with my Nikon camera

Hi! I was told that i can use my camera even in water to take pictures.But three days ago one of my younger brothers tried it with my Nikon camera and now it can't even turn on. Do any one have an idea on what i should do with it? thank you.

Which model do you have, and who told you it is waterproof?

The Nikon Coolpix S30 is waterproof to 3 metres. The Coolpix AW100 is waterproof to a depth of 33 metres.

Waite a minute! So Nikon is a waterproof camera. Wow!No idea. Thanks anyway.
