IPv4 and IPv6

I have occasional problems along the limes of " the DNS server cannot be found" etc. Usually a reboot of the router fixes it. I have W7 Ultimate, my ISP is Talk Talk (Pipex), a fixed ip address and I have a Belkin Share 300+ wireless n router, with Ethernet to desktop, wireless to laptop. I have been reading up and see that I use IPv4 as IP connection. IPv6 is not enabled in theory. I do not want to cause more problems as this is not a constant fault.
Are all ISP's using IPv6 ? How do I find out? What is the situation re v4 and v6?

Thanks - have bookmarked the site and will contact ny ISP to see what they are doing about "IPv6 day" in June. I did find that my PC is capable, but the ISP is not at present.
