Networking on 2 subnets with 2 NIC's

Hello,

I have 2 servers, one currently running Windows Server 2003, and the other running Windows Server 2008.

The Windows Server 2003 is running the whole business network, and the Windows Server 2008 is running nothing but pure iSCSI LUNS.

My problem is this:

Both servers have 2 NIC's installed. The servers are setup so one NIC is on the LAN, and the other is on a seperate Subnet.

When i try to ping the other server from either end, it cannot do it, and comes up with the same response as if there was no device on the other end.

The server networking configs:

Windows Server 2003: NIC 1 IP: 192.168.1.2 NIC 2 IP: 192.168.4.2

Windows Server 2008: NIC 1 IP: 192.168.1.79 NIC 2 IP: 192.168.4.1

All subnet masks are: 255.255.255.0

Can anybody solve this? Any help will be greatly appriciated :)

I don't follow this. You appear to be using two subnets and, presumably, also two LANs. Is there a particular reason for having second network adapters in a different subnet which, because of the subnet mask, cannot communicate with the first network adapters?
