BT Hub Transfer

Is it possible to split the out going data transfer if your hub is supplying 2 different computers via the cable fixings.

I am trying to ensure that the hub outputs cannot be programmed in such a way that if 2 computers are running at the same time via inthernet cables one computer is allowed to have more band width than the other, or is the imbalance just down to the computer build. With thanks Tony

I am with BT and have not noticed a problem with bandwith when I and my wife are online me on a PC my wife on a laptop. Web pages are somewhat slowwer loading, if say I am downloading a large file. I feel you should not have a problem unless your connection speed is very slow. Mine averages about only 1.7mbps.
