How to choose a modem router combo

Hi Guys,

I am looking to purchase an ADSL wireless modem router combo which will be mainly used for net browsing, online gaming (ps3) and skype.

It has been suggested by the IT tech we use that I a get dual band n wireless gigabit modem/router but my limited knowledge and the confusion created by reading multiple contracting reviews of products is sending me a bit loopy.

Any suggestions on a product that would suit my usage?
